Sustainability in Small Business Operations
Sustainability is already part of our core operations.
At Integrity Movers, we practice sustainability by reducing emissions on our trucks. We installed phones with Google Maps so every route is either the fastest or the most fuel-efficient. This saves time and protects the environment.
We also believe strongly in reusing materials. Boxes get wiped down, cleaned, and used again. As I wrote earlier, “From using reusable packing materials to optimizing our routes for fuel efficiency” (Instagram, n.d.), these are real ways we cut down on waste. Our boxes are made from recycled materials and built with triple-wall construction, making them more durable for multiple uses.
On the trucking side, we support sustainability through:

Two Sisters Estate Sales operates with the same mindset.
We offer 75% off days, box deals, and steep discounts not just to help customers but to make sure items get reused. When a homeowner wants the house completely emptied, we push hard to sell or donate everything we can. Sustainability has been a core component since day one, and customers know our goal is to rehome everything possible so very little ends up thrown away.

Based on truck weight, job type, and how many movers we normally send, AI could help us decide whether a job fits into our schedule.
AI at Two Sisters Estate Sales
We already use AI in pricing operations.
We take photos of items, and AI shows comparable items or even suggests a price. This makes our pricing faster and more accurate.
We also use AI for marketing. Tools like VEED streamline our entire video creation workflow—captions, voiceovers, editing, and more. “Create Pro level videos in the Blink of AI” (VEED, n.d.).
Limitations of AI Use
AI still has limits.
“Every model has a ‘context window’…” (Russel, 2025). This means AI can forget details or give longer, less clear responses when overloaded. It still requires human oversight, and even ChatGPT reminds users to double-check everything.
Despite this, AI is improving fast. Tools like SoraAI can now generate realistic videos that look almost real. What used to look fake—the old Will Smith spaghetti video—is now clean and expressive. SoraAI is becoming a way to recreate history and visualize the past. AI is turning into a time machine that can help us understand past events to make better decisions today.
Future Developments and Lean Improvements
With everything above—sustainability, AI, and our day-to-day work—there is a clear opportunity to run leaner. Mapping out workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and simplifying steps would help both companies operate smoother. Lean thinking fits small family businesses because every minute and every step matters.
